NODA North West MagazineANNIE (1993)Macclesfield Majestic TheatreSome good performances especially from Lindsey Hurst (a delightful Annie), who along with the rest of the Orphans endeared herself to an appreciative audience. Generally, a good cast of principals had been assembled. Michael Johnson gave a strong performance as Daddy Warbucks, and Shirley Davies' Miss Hannigan was an intoxicating treat with some good singing coming from the company. One small criticism I would make was that the orchestra was occasionally a little too loud, tending to drown some of the singers, but apart from that, generally, a good show and the group can be well satisfied with their efforts. Producer was Peter Clough, musical director Keith Yearsley, and choreographer Carol Dabbs.
