Once again this company gave
us a first class pantomime with some fantastic touches. Congratulations
to the production team for their efforts, using wonderful ideas, good
choreography and great musical numbers in keeping with the story-line.
Emily Knutton made a great Cinders, bringing a fresh approach to the
role and updating it which worked well. She worked well with all the company
and the banter between her and Prince Charming brought laughter to the
audience. Phil Mason was excellent in the role of the Prince, with his
deep voice and an almost Elvis approach. Dan Medina, made a great Buttons
and soon had the audience on his side along with Robbie Medina as Baroness
Hetty Hardup. A great twist to this production had the two baddies as
Puppets, worked excellently by Luke Clayton and Matthew Hulme. For me
though it was the ugly sisters Collette Desborough and Heidi Cook who
brought the house down with their antics. Their costumes were incredible
and they both gave wonderful performances.
All principals worked hard and were supported with a great chorus of
singers and dancers and well done to all the little ones who were very
well drilled in their routines.
As I said this was first class and especially for opening night. Well
done to you all and I thank you for you kind hospitality afforded to Bob
and myself.
