Sweet Charity (1987)

This was the show that the Majestic, with some considerable media interest and local company sponsorship, took to the Waterford Festival in Ireland. This was not the first time the Group travelled to Ireland to enter the same festival. The cost, it seems was £7000, a not inconsiderable sum, when one considers that the ticket prices were £2.50.

The show also co-incided with the National Operatic and Dramatic Society's national conference at Buxton and more than 100 of the delegates came over to Macclesfield to see the show.
